KRISSIE ILLING - Comedy Show Tour Calendar 2012

KRISSIE ILLING

Visual Comedy and Slapstick

One of the few comedians, who has been able to make a name for herself in the domain of “humour”, usually dominated by men, is Krissie Illing, well known by the public as Wilma from the legendary British Comedy-Duo Nickelodeon.

Krissie takes the stage in various variety theatres with her sketches such as her hilarious grotesque Queen of England imitation. In addition to that she is at home on the stage of theatres starring in the successful piece “Wilmas wunderbarer Waschsalon”, a black comedy in the best of English tradition. “Wilma’s Jubilee”, her latest solo production, is fast and funny mix of solo number both from her theatre and variety shows. For years Nickelodeon (Krissie Illing and her original partner Mark Britton) counted as one of the best comedy groups that could be seen in Europe.  Many other acts tried to copy them. Their three successful theatre productions were played several hundred times and also broadcasted. Nickelodeon became the synonym of British humour: dry, intelligent and black.  They became cult figures that could compare themselves with other icons of slapstick like “Monty Python” and “Stan and Ollie”. After five years of separation they met on stage again in the summer of 2005 and brought the house down at Hamburg’s St. Pauli Theatre with an exclusive four week season of “Great Lovers in History”. Since then they have been touring the major cities in Germany again.
